Shanghai has fully launched a campaign to ensure that by the end of 2025, over 90% of the graduates from the class of that year who are not yet employed upon leaving school will receive help in finding employment.
Reporters learned from the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on the 18th that Shanghai recently launched the 2025 Youth Employment Service Action Plan for college graduates and other young people. The focus is on the employment and entrepreneurship needs of college graduates and other young people, and introduced "10 special actions". The action plan started in July of this year and will continue until the end of the year. The target group is the 2025 graduates who have not found employment after leaving school and registered unemployed youth. The Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau stated that the purpose of this initiative is to create a city where young people can "enjoy their work" by providing comprehensive employment services such as policy implementation, real-name registration, career guidance, recruitment coordination, assistance for difficulties, capacity building, and safeguarding rights. At the same time, each district will take the 2025 Youth Employment Service Action Plan as an important focus of current employment work, ensure implementation of work responsibilities, refine implementation plans, carefully organize the implementation, strengthen tracking and scheduling, and ensure that by the end of the year, the employment assistance rate for 2025 graduates who have not found employment after leaving school in this city is not less than 90%, and overall youth employment remains stable.
