The third meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors opened in South Africa.
On July 17th, local time, the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting opened in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. South Africa's Finance Minister Godongwana, the rotating chair country of the G20, called for unity and cooperation among all parties to jointly address the complex and serious economic environment. As the host of this meeting, South African Finance Minister Godongwana pointed out at the meeting that the current global economy is facing multiple challenges such as weak recovery, increasing trade barriers, and structural imbalances. As an important platform for global economic governance, the G20 must play a key role in promoting the reform and improvement of the international financial architecture.
