After months of internal investigation into the department overseen by Chief Digital and Information Officer Sriram Krishnasamy, FedEx will be parting ways with him. In a securities filing on Thursday evening local time, FedEx stated that Krishnasamy and the company have "mutually agreed" that he will immediately step down from his position. The filing noted that Krishnasamy will continue to serve as an executive advisor until October or earlier. According to sources, before his sudden departure, FedEx had conducted an investigation to verify claims that performance in a department he supervised had been exaggerated. The department, known as FedEx Dataworks, uses logistics data generated by the flow of millions of packages through its network daily to help businesses improve their supply chains. The securities filing by FedEx did not mention this investigation, and the company did not comment on the nature of the investigation. FedEx did clarify that the focus of the investigation was on Dataworks, not Krishnasamy himself, and it did not prompt his departure.
