Recently, Shanghai Squirrel Brain Artificial Intelligence Research Institute has teamed up with Hua Shan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University to make breakthroughs in the field of brain-machine interfaces. After implanting electrodes in the brains of 10 subjects, and after a short training period, their brain's neural electrical activity can be decoded to display in real-time on a computer screen the Chinese sentences they want to say. This research achievement, which has entered the clinical trial stage, will bring good news to patients with conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and aphasia.
