A production suspension message ignites the lithium carbonate market. Tibet Mineral responds: It is an issue with the mining permit.
The announcement of Zangge Mining at noon stated that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zangge Potash Fertilizer, received a notice yesterday from the Natural Resources Bureau of Haixi Prefecture and the Salt Lake Management Bureau of Haixi Prefecture, ordering the immediate cessation of lithium resource development and utilization activities. Zangge Mining responded by stating that the two companies are both in the same mining area, but they are extracting different resources - one is potash and the other is lithium carbonate. When asked about the suspension of lithium resource production, the staff explained that it was due to issues with the mining license, and that once the relevant procedures are completed, production can resume.
