On July 17th, Huang Baoxu, director of the Livestock and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to promote various relief measures to take effect, make efforts to extend the industry chain, enhance added value, and strengthen competitiveness, consolidate the positive trend of beef cattle farming, and promote dairy cattle farming to reach a turning point as soon as possible. In terms of policy, efforts will be made to implement relief measures. Guidance will be provided to local governments to implement policies to support the expansion and improvement of quality breeding cows, actively coordinate with financial institutions to strengthen credit support, enhance dynamic monitoring and support for dairy cattle farms, orderly reduce production capacity, control the growth of new production capacity, and stabilize market expectations. On the production side, cost-saving and quality improvement measures will be implemented. The livestock industry's initiative to reduce feed will be carried out, and the production and supply of high-quality forage will be ensured, while the prevention and control of diseases and quality and safety supervision will be strengthened. Improvements will be made to the quality grading standards for domestic beef to promote high-quality and high-priced beef. Guidance will be provided to encourage areas with conditions to promote the integrated development of dairy farming and processing, and efforts will be increased in independent breeding innovation and technological research for dairy processing.
