The meteorological observatory of Shaanxi Province has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall.

The Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued an orange rainstorm warning at 15:28 on July 17th: At present, some counties and districts in Shangluo City and some counties and districts in Xi'an City have received more than 50 mm of precipitation and the rain may continue. It is expected that the following areas will receive more than 50 mm of rainfall in the next 3 hours, locally up to 80 mm: Baqiao District, Chang'an District, Huyi District, Lantian County, Zhouzhi County in Xi'an city, Meixian County, Taibai County in Baoji City, Zhenba County, Foping County in Hanzhong City, Hanbin District, Ningshan County, Ziyang County, Langao County in Ankang City, Shangzhou District, Shanyang County, Zhenan County, and Zhashui County in Shangluo City. During the rainy period, there will be short-term heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, hail and other severe convective weather in the above areas, with a high risk of mountain torrents, mudslides and other disasters. Please pay attention to prevention in the above areas and adjacent counties and districts.
