Powell responds to Trump's budget director: Fed building needs major renovation

Fed Chairman Powell: Provide more details on the renovation of the Fed building mentioned by White House Budget Director Vought. Increase transparency on the renovation of the Fed building by adding a new page on the website. The Fed building is in need of major repairs. Requesting the Fed Inspector General to conduct a fresh review of the renovation project. Contrary to the renovation project, we do not have dedicated elevators, private elevators, or VIP elevators in the Fed building. There are no beehives, rooftop gardens, or marble flooring.
