The total electricity consumption in Zhejiang Province has reached a historic high of 1.26 billion kilowatts. So far, since the beginning of summer, the maximum load of the three provincial-level power grids in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui has set a new record six times. Jiangsu Province, Anhui Province, and several prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang have issued initiatives to save electricity, and many places have stopped running "light shows" that only serve to showcase the city's image.
