19,000 households scramble for 900 shops in Yiwu! Yiwu's sixth generation market is booming.
As the benchmark of the sixth generation market in Yiwu, the global digital trade center market section, which will open in October this year, is currently in the stage of attracting investment from across the country, with shops being "hard to come by." According to data from the market group, as of the registration deadline on July 6th, there are more than 900 shops in the market section for infant and child growth products, skin care, and medical beauty products at Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center, attracting more than 19,000 registered households, equivalent to more than 20 people competing for one shop. The applicants include more than 10 listed companies such as Alpha Animation and Culture and Gale Holding, as well as over 600 large-scale enterprises. Behind the scarcity of shops in the Yiwu market is the inherent traffic of this "world's small commodity capital" and the resilience of Chinese foreign trade, especially small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises.
