In the first half of the year, the added value of Beijing's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7% year-on-year, with the automobile manufacturing industry growing by 16.7%.

On July 17th, the Beijing Municipal People's Government Press Office held a press conference on the economic performance of Beijing in the first half of 2025. According to the introduction at the conference, the value added of industrial enterprises above a certain scale in Beijing increased by 7% year-on-year in the first half of the year, calculated at comparable prices, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the first quarter. In key industries, the computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 24.6%, and the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 16.7%.
