After a full effort to repair, the disrupted traffic on the uphill line of the Longhai Railway due to a mountain landslide has been restored.
The reporter learned from the railway department that on the morning of July 16, due to continuous rainfall, a sudden mountain landslide occurred between the Yuanlong and Jianhe stations on the Longhai Railway in Tianshui City, Gansu Province. A freight train collided with the falling debris when passing through, causing the locomotive to derail and interrupting traffic on the up line, with no casualties reported. At 13:28, after the railway department's full efforts to repair, the line has been restored and transport order is gradually being resumed. Currently, large machinery is urgently clearing and reinforcing the slope at the scene. Due to this incident, several passenger trains passing through this section are delayed, causing inconvenience to travelers, for which the railway department deeply apologizes.
