State Council Taiwan Affairs Office: Warn the DPP authorities that the continuous staging of farces will only bring shame upon themselves.

On July 16, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a routine press conference to respond to the so-called "attack" incident stirred up by some countries and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities. Spokesperson Chen Binhua stated that, firstly, we consistently oppose any official exchanges between our diplomatic allies and Taiwan, and resolutely oppose any countries providing a political stage for "Taiwan independence" forces. Countries involved should adhere to the One China principle and not be manipulated by "Taiwan independence" splittist forces. Secondly, Chinese diplomats always abide by the laws and regulations of the host country. The so-called "attack" incident hyped up by some countries and the DPP authorities is baseless and attempts to distort the truth. Lastly, the DPP authorities are maliciously hyping up this incident with the aim of inciting hostility between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. We warn the DPP authorities that no matter how many times they repeat lies, they will not come true, and the farce they are staging will only bring disgrace upon themselves.
