US stock market closing report: Nvidia rose 4% to reach a new closing high, while Meta and Tesla fell by more than 1.9% at most.
On Tuesday, the index of the seven tech giants in the US rose by 0.93%, closing at 178.39 points. Nvidia closed up 4.04%, reaching above $170 for the first time in history, with a market value of $4.17 trillion; Microsoft rose by 0.56%, while Amazon, Google, and Apple all rose by 0.29%. Meta Platforms, on the other hand, fell by 1.46%, and Tesla dropped by 1.93%. In addition, AMD rose by 6.41%, closing at $155.61, approaching the previous closing high of $166.25 on October 29, 2024; TSMC ADR rose by 3.62%, hitting a new all-time closing high of $236.95 since July 3; Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares under Buffett fell by 1.30%, and Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals dropped by 3.45%.
