Opening of the Cross-border Tax Refund "Buy-now-Refund-now" Service in Sichuan and Chongqing

Journalists learned from the Sichuan Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Taxation Administration that, in order to further expand the effectiveness of the "buy-now-refund-now" policy for departure tax refunds and improve the convenience of shopping tax refunds for overseas tourists, recently, the tax authorities in Sichuan and Chongqing have innovatively cooperated to successfully launch the departure tax refund "buy-now-refund-now" cross-provincial service between Sichuan and Chongqing. It is understood that the service opening breaks the restriction of "local departure", allowing overseas tourists to choose to depart from either Chengdu or Chongqing after shopping and enjoying the "buy-now-refund-now" service in either region of Sichuan or Chongqing.
