The US side accuses China of violating the Geneva Agreement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: firmly opposes.
On June 3, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, presided over a regular press conference. A reporter asked about the recent claims by the United States that China has violated the consensus reached in the China-US-Japan Geneva Economic and Trade Talks and has taken a series of negative actions. What is China's response to this? Lin Jian pointed out that the US has smeared and accused China without any factual basis, implemented export controls on chips to China, suspended chip design and software sales to China, announced the revocation of visas for Chinese students studying in the US, and other extreme measures to pressure China, seriously undermining the Geneva consensus and damaging China's legitimate interests. China strongly opposes this and has made solemn representations. "I want to stress once again that exerting pressure and coercion is not the correct way to deal with China. We urge the US to respect facts, stop spreading false information, correct their wrong practices, and take practical actions to uphold the consensus between the two sides," said Lin Jian.
