This year, the Dragon Boat Festival holiday coincides with the weekend, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port has seen a peak in passenger and vehicle traffic. According to statistics from the Zhuhai Border Checkpoint General Station's Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Checkpoint, on the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on May 31, more than 97,000 passengers and over 20,000 vehicles passed through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge border checkpoint, an increase of 58% and 45% respectively compared to the same period last year. Yesterday, on the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, over 66,000 Hong Kong and Macao passengers passed through the port. Among them, Hong Kong residents accounted for over 47,000 people, representing 49% of the total passenger flow and becoming the largest group passing through the port. In addition, over 13,900 Hong Kong and Macao single license plate cars passed through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port, accounting for 71% of the total number of small passenger cars passing through the port, an increase of over 90% compared to the same period last year.
