Two armored warriors were damaged, officials reported that a man has been detained in connection with the incident at Pit 3 of the Terracotta Warriors.

According to "Ping'an Lintong", the Lintong Sub-bureau of the Xi'an Public Security Bureau issued a bulletin today, stating that the man who jumped into Pit No. 3 of the Terracotta Warriors has been brought under control by the public security organs. At around 5:30 p.m. on May 30, 2025, Sun Mou entered the Terracotta Warriors site and climbed over the railing and protective net of the pit, jumping into Pit No. 3 and pushing and pulling the pottery figurines, causing varying degrees of damage to two armored warriors. Currently, Sun Mou has been brought under control by the public security organs. It was found that Sun Mou suffers from a mental illness, and the case is still under further investigation.
