Starting from November, every newly produced battery will have an "identity card".
Reporters learned today that in order to strengthen the safety and quality management of the entire life cycle of lithium-ion batteries, the State Administration for Market Regulation has approved the release of the national standard "Lithium-ion Battery Coding Rules", which will be implemented starting from November 1, 2025. This standard assigns a unique identity code to each new production battery product, covering the entire hierarchy of products from individual batteries to battery systems. Through the "one battery, one code" system, the full life cycle process control from production to recycling can be achieved, providing important reference for product traceability and industry regulation.
