The continuation of the United Nations Habitat Conference focuses on the global housing crisis.

The second session of the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements resumed on the 29th in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. Around 1,200 representatives from around the world attended the meeting to discuss how to address the global housing crisis. Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, stated in her opening speech that the current global housing crisis is affecting nearly 3 billion people, and without action, it will severely hinder the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. She called for global coordinated action based on human rights, dignity, and multilateral solidarity to address the global housing crisis.
