A laboratory in Tianhe District experienced a explosion accident, Guangzhou Fire Department: No casualties.

According to a report from the Guangzhou Fire Rescue Brigade, on May 30, 2025 at 13:50, the brigade received a report from the public stating that a laboratory explosion occurred on the 7th floor of the Guangzhou Institute of Environmental Science at 24 Tianhe South 1st Road in Tianhe District. The brigade's command center immediately dispatched firefighting teams to the scene, and at 14:19, the fire was extinguished with no casualties. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
