Three departments: in 2024, nationwide distribution of housing provident fund loans exceeds 1.3 trillion yuan.

According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics app, recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, and the People's Bank of China jointly released the "National Housing Provident Fund Annual Report 2024". The report shows that in 2024, the various businesses of the national housing provident fund operated smoothly, with a total provident fund deposit of 3.631783 trillion yuan, 81.2704 million people withdrew 276.5484 billion yuan from the provident fund, and 2.3056 million loans for personal housing were issued, totaling 1304.307 billion yuan. The coverage of the housing provident fund system continues to expand. Throughout the year, there were 5.29 million units with actual deposits, 176.2875 million actual depositors, representing an increase of 6.92% and 1% respectively compared to the previous year. There were 739,900 new units opened and 18.6247 million new account holders.
