South Korea approves SpaceX to provide satellite communication services in South Korea.
On May 30, the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT announced the approval of three agreements regarding the provision of services by foreign low-earth orbit satellite communication operators in South Korea. SpaceX and its subsidiary Starlink Korea signed an agreement on cross-border communication services, while the global low-earth orbit satellite communication company OneWeb signed similar agreements with the South Korean defense industry company Hanwha Systems and the satellite service provider KTSAT. All three agreements have been approved by the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT.
