Trump's tariffs have caused a $340 billion loss for global corporations.
The analysis of media on corporate disclosure shows that Trump's trade war has caused companies more than 34 billion dollars in sales losses and higher costs. The ongoing uncertainty of tariffs has paralyzed decision-making for some of the world's largest companies, and these losses are expected to increase. In the United States, Asia, and Europe, companies such as Apple, Ford, Porsche, and Sony have either lowered or significantly lowered profit expectations. The vast majority of companies have stated that the instability of Trump's trade policy has made it impossible for them to accurately estimate costs. This valuation includes 32 companies from the S&P 500 index, 3 companies from the STOXX 600 index, and 21 companies from the Nikkei 225 index. Economists say that the costs for companies may be several times higher compared to the costs disclosed by companies so far.
