"Jiaolong" manned submersible enters the sea, plans to dive to about 4,500 meters.

On October 10, the "Deep Sea No. 1" vessel carrying the manned submersible "Jiaolong" arrived at the East Caroline Basin operating area in the Western Pacific for deep-sea scientific research operations. This is the 466th dive of "Jiaolong" and the first dive conducted in this area during the second leg of China's Ocean Expedition 100. The planned dive depth is approximately 4,500 meters.
