Mauritania forms new government, El Ajay remains prime minister

On the evening of October 10 local time, the Mauritanian Presidency issued a statement on the formation of a new government, mainly involving the following personnel appointments: Mokhtar Bousseif was appointed Minister of the Interior and Local Development, Ba Ousmane was appointed Minister of Defense, Mohamed Ould M'Heimid was appointed Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mohamed Abdel Fattah was appointed Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Mohamed Ould Babana was appointed Minister of Culture and Arts, along with several other ministerial appointments.
