Pilot program for occupational injury protection has enrolled 37.27 million people cumulatively.
It was learned from the "Starting the 15th Five-Year Plan" series of themed press conferences held by the State Council Information Office on October 10 that since the pilot program for occupational injury protection for workers in new forms of employment was launched, the system has generally operated smoothly, the scope of the pilot has continued to expand, and the number of insured people has continued to increase. As of the end of September, the occupational injury protection pilot had covered a cumulative total of 37.27 million insured people. As of now, the number of insured orders has reached 108.7 billion. Li Zhong, spokesperson and vice minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, introduced that as of the end of September, the number of people insured under the national basic old-age insurance, unemployment insurance, and work-related injury insurance had reached 1.079 billion, 251 million, and 327 million, respectively, and the cumulative surplus of the three social insurance funds reached 11.2 trillion yuan.
