PIMCO executive: 10-year Treasury yield risks hitting 6%
Dan Ivascyn, group chief investment officer of PIMCO, warned in a Financial Times report that the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield risks hitting 6% due to three macro pressures: high oil prices, sticky inflation, and the massive scale of public debt. Technical selling and forced liquidation by hedge funds have further intensified the violent market swings, making a further near-term rise in yields possible.
