Recently, under the supervision of Quanzhou Customs, 11 containers holding a total of 6,100 items of cross-border e-commerce "9610" retail export goodsincluding clothing, footwear, and daily necessitiesdeparted from the Quanzhou Shihu Port Bonded Logistics Center for the Quanzhou Weitou Port Area, where they were loaded onto the cross-border e-commerce export dedicated line vessel "Yexin" for shipment overseas. The cross-border e-commerce "9610" trade mode, whose full name is "cross-border trade e-commerce," uses an export model commonly known as "direct mail export." It applies to domestic e-commerce enterprises that conduct transactions through e-commerce trading platforms and complete customs procedures using a clearance model based on list-based release and consolidated declaration. It is suited to small-batch, multi-batch small-parcel orders and offers the advantages of convenient customs clearance and short logistics chains, having become an important channel for China's footwear, apparel, and daily necessities to go global. On September 29 last year, Quanzhou B Bonded Logistics Center became the country's first pilot site for the comprehensive reform measure "pioneering cross-border e-commerce exports." Over the past year, Quanzhou has made full use of the convenient conditions of "zone-port linkage," opening a total of 4 cross-border e-commerce routes and attracting e-commerce platforms to settle in, with the number of settled enterprises increasing from 9 at opening to 19. Over the past year, Quanzhou Customs has supervised the export of 2.4 million cross-border e-commerce parcels, covering more than 400 categories of goods such as clothing, footwear, and household items, with average daily business volume rising from 2,000 parcels in the first month of the pilot to 8,000 in September this year.
