CPCA: Pickup truck market sales in August were 54,000 units, up 29.5% year-on-year.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) stated in a report that pickup truck sales in August 2026 reached 54,000 units, up 29.5% year-on-year and down 3.9% month-on-month, marking a high for the month in the past five years. From January to August, sales totaled 455,000 units, an increase of 17.8%. The domestic market and export market show clear differences in structure. Great Wall Motor continues to maintain its strong leading position in pickup trucks, with relatively stable performance both domestically and internationally. Driven by continued year-on-year export growth, SAIC Maxus, JAC Motors, Zhengzhou Nissan, and Changan Automobile performed strongly. In the domestic pickup truck retail market, Great Wall Motor, Jiangling Motors, Zhengzhou Nissan, Radar Auto, and Jiangxi Isuzu performed well, and the domestic "one superpower, multiple strong players" pattern in pickup trucks continues to hold.
