National Health Commission: A childcare service law is being drafted and has entered the review process of the National People's Congress.
On September 14, the State Council Information Office held a press conference in its series on "Getting Off to a Good Start in the 15th Five-Year Plan." Lei HaiChao, Minister of the National Health Commission, stated that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, attention should be paid to health governance and to the role of health legislation in consolidating foundations, benefiting the long term, and stabilizing expectations. We will advance legislation in the health sector to better protect the public and practitioners and to better adjust various social relations. Lei Haichao stated that the National Health Commission is drafting a childcare service law, which has already entered the deliberation process of the National People's Congress. In addition, it is also revising the Blood Donation Law, which was enacted more than 20 years ago, to adapt to the new situation of blood donation supply and demand. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the legal foundation in the health sector will be further consolidated, and the legal environment will also be further optimized.
