In the first eight months, Turkey's automobile production decreased by 7.3% year-on-year.

Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency, citing data from the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers Association, reported that in the first eight months of this year, Turkey's total vehicle production fell 7.3% year-on-year to 841,583 units. Passenger car production in the first eight months dropped about 19% to 458,169 units. From January to August, vehicle exports fell 12% year-on-year to 597,594 units. Passenger car exports fell 28% year-on-year, while commercial vehicle exports rose 9%. Total vehicle export value rose 2.5% year-on-year in U.S. dollar terms, reaching $27.2 billion.
