Singapore Exchange prepares to offer cryptocurrency perpetual futures to US institutions
Singapore Exchange is preparing to offer cryptocurrency perpetual futures to US institutions, potentially becoming the first major traditional exchange to bring this popular crypto market product into the mainstream. The exchange filed with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission last month to launch these contracts for US investors. As a registered foreign exchange, it can offer these products to US institutional investors if no objections are received within 10 days. The move will allow Singapore Exchange to reach a broader group of hedge funds, asset managers, and proprietary trading firms, following its launch of Bitcoin and Ethereum perpetual futures in November last year.
