A-share Midday Review: Shanghai Composite Index Opens Lower and Rises, Up 0.16%; MLCC Concept, Innovative Drugs, and Lab-Grown Diamond Sectors Show Active Performance

The three major A-share indices closed the morning session mixed. As of midday, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.16%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.25%, the ChiNext Index dropped 0.47%, the Beijing 50 rose 0.59%, and the STAR 50 Index declined 0.94%. Total market turnover stood at 1,113.9 billion yuan, a decrease of 170.8 billion yuan from the previous day, with more than 3,500 stocks across the market advancing. In terms of sectors and themes, cultivated diamonds, medical services, CRO concept, MLCC concept, and complete automobile sectors led the gains; military restructuring concept, planting and forestry, military equipment, grain concept, and genetically modified sectors led the declines. On the trading floor, the cultivated diamond sector opened lower and moved higher, with Huanghe Whirlwind, Henglin Home Furnishings, and Hengsheng Energy hitting the daily limit up, while Inno Laser, Huifeng Diamond, and Power Diamond led the gains. The MLCC concept showed strong performance, with Shuangxing New Materials and Kangda New Materials hitting the daily limit up, while Yunjia Technology, Chunguang Group, and Lihexing led the gains. The innovative drug sector was active, with Wanbang Pharmaceutical, Jinghua Pharmaceutical, and Sanli Pharmaceutical hitting the daily limit up, while ACROBiosystems, InnoCare Pharma, and Norsertve led the gains. The grain concept sector showed lackluster performance, with Dunhuang Seed and Xinjiang Talimu Agriculture Development hitting the daily limit down, while Keming Food, Yasheng Group, and COFCO Technology all fell significantly. The military equipment sector also performed poorly, with Construction Industry, AECC Aero Science and Technology, and Great Wall Military Industry leading the declines.
