Shandong plans to lower the negative electricity price floor, accelerating the construction of China's electricity spot market.

The construction of the electricity spot market is entering a critical stage of accelerated implementation and maturation. The Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued a public consultation notice proposing to lower the floor prices for spot market energy bidding and clearing from -0.08 yuan and -0.1 yuan per kilowatt-hour to -0.12 yuan and -0.14 yuan, respectively; the ceiling prices will remain unchanged and continue to be implemented at the standards of 1.3 yuan and 1.5 yuan.
