National Development and Reform Commission: Steadily Carrying Out Carbon Peak Actions

Yesterday, the main event for the National Ecological Day 2026 was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A relevant official from the National Development and Reform Commission stated at the event that it is essential to solidly implement the carbon peak action. The official expressed that achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality is a firm commitment of our country. Zhou Haibing, the vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated: we must solidly carry out the carbon peak action, scientifically conduct a comprehensive evaluation and assessment of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, accelerate the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, energy structure, transportation structure, and ensure that we achieve the carbon peak target on schedule.
