Zuckerberg: Opposes the concentration of AI capabilities in the hands of a few institutions.
On August 10 local time, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg published a lengthy article titled "The Future Belongs to Everyone," stating that Meta will promote the widespread adoption of "personal superintelligence" and continue to support open-source AI models. He mentioned that open models help prevent the excessive concentration of AI capabilities, allowing more individuals and businesses to gain access to advanced AI tools. Zuckerberg emphasized that the current open-source ecosystem is "strong," and restricting open-source AI would lead to further centralization, which is detrimental to safety and economic development. He revealed that the Meta Superintelligence Laboratory has been launched, and in the future, some open-source models will be reintroduced.
