The "Beautiful China" national action 5-year plan has been launched, specifying 15 measures.

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment held its routine press conference in June today. At the meeting, it was announced that the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Department of Social Work and other six departments jointly issued the "National Action Plan to Promote the Construction of a Beautiful China". The goal is to have a more solid cultural support for the construction of a Beautiful China by 2030, a significant improvement in the public's ecological civilization literacy, a trend of green and low-carbon lifestyle, and the basic formation of a national action system for the construction of a Beautiful China. The "Promotion Plan" puts forward 15 specific measures: in promoting ecological culture, it proposes to increase the display and experience of ecological culture at museums, exhibition halls, science education centers, etc.; promote the integration of ecological culture into tourism development by creating ecological culture tourism boutique routes and special products. In promoting public participation, deepen the opening of environmental protection facilities to the public, encourage industry enterprises with conditions, capabilities, and willingness to open up fully; coordinate and integrate resources of volunteer service platforms, broaden public participation channels, cultivate volunteer service teams with standardized management and high quality, and create brand projects such as "Beautiful China, I Volunteer" etc. In guiding the green transformation of lifestyle, focusing on the domains of eating, dressing, living, traveling, consuming, and leisure, exploring the establishment of multiple incentive mechanisms such as points exchange, commercial discounts, public service exchange, to stimulate the intrinsic motivation of the whole people to practice green low-carbon behaviors.
