On June 15th, Mongolian Prime Minister Ukhnaagiin Khrelskh met with Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Ulaanbaatar. Khrelskh stated that maintaining good neighborly relations and enhancing cooperation with China is the top priority of Mongolia's foreign policy. Both Mongolia and China have always respected each other's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as the development path chosen by each country. Mongolia firmly adheres to the One China principle, believing that issues related to Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Hong Kong are China's internal affairs, and that the government of the People's Republic of China represents the entire Chinese nation, not supporting "Taiwan independence." Mongolia is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, enhance high-level exchanges, consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen connectivity, actively promote the trilateral cooperation agreement and major project construction, and continuously advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. China is Mongolia's most important economic and trade partner, and the two countries are expected to achieve a trade volume of 20 billion US dollars this year. Mongolia hopes that both sides can take more trade facilitation measures, promote trade diversification, strengthen connectivity through ports, railways, and infrastructure, as well as mining cooperation. Mongolia highly values the concerns of Chinese companies and is willing to provide a more friendly and legal business environment for Chinese companies investing in Mongolia.
