The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office reported an incident in which a cargo ship reported that a small boat carrying 6 armed individuals attempted to approach the ship at a location 88 nautical miles southwest of Balhaf, Yemen. The small boat exchanged fire with the armed security team on the cargo ship, before eventually departing.
