The first Integrated Innovation Conference on Smart Medicine and Brain-Machine Interfaces was held.

The first Intelligent Medicine and Brain-Machine Interface Industry-Education Fusion Innovation Conference was held at the Changsha Campus of Central South University and the Furong Laboratory in 2026. Vice Governor Jiang Difei attended the event and delivered a speech. Jiang Difei, on behalf of the Hunan Province, extended a warm welcome to all academicians, experts, and guests from all walks of life. He stated that the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government have taken to heart General Secretary Xi Jinping's earnest instructions, and have included the brain-machine interface industry in the key layout of the province's "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan." To promote the high-quality development of the intelligent medicine and brain-machine interface industries, continuous efforts are needed in terms of technological breakthroughs, industry-education integration, and innovation ecology. He also called on academicians and experts to continue to care and support the development of Hunan, collectively promoting the brain-machine interface industry to a higher level.
