According to reports from media such as Bloomberg and ABC, former US President Biden sued the US Department of Justice on the 26th to block officials from releasing recordings and transcripts of interviews he had conducted in preparation for writing his memoir. The report stated that in the latest lawsuit filed in the federal district court in Washington, D.C., Biden's lawyers accused the US Department of Justice of taking a legal position that contradicts its long-standing stance on which materials can be exempted from requests under the US Freedom of Information Act. The Biden camp also said that the proposed disclosure "would constitute an unreasonable invasion of Biden's privacy".
