Zhejiang 6 departments issue plan to build emerging marine new materials industry with joint efforts.

Recently, the Department of Marine Economy Development of Zhejiang Province and five other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the High-Quality Development of Marine New Materials Industry in Zhejiang Province", which aims to double the total output value of the marine new materials industry in the province to 160 billion yuan by 2030. The plan also includes targets such as establishing over 60 new specialized and innovative enterprises, more than 20 specialized and innovative "hidden champions" enterprises, and over 20 enterprises with a marine-related output value of over 1 billion yuan. The goal is to develop a number of internationally leading "hardcore" flagship products in the fields of new deep-sea structural materials, green and long-lasting high-performance protective materials, and intelligent biomimetic cutting-edge functional materials.
