On May 27, Teng Jiguo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Political and Legal Affairs, stated at a press conference at the State Council Information Office that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, efforts will be made to further promote strict law enforcement. Illegal activities such as telecommunications and online fraud, gambling, drugs and prostitution, illegal fundraising, and financial fraud that have been strongly reported by the public will be punished according to the law.
