China's Blue Origin company launched a refurbished "New Glenn" heavy-duty launch rocket carrying a communication satellite from the US AST Space Mobile company on the 19th. Although the rocket's first stage successfully landed at sea, the second stage failed to place the satellite into the intended orbit, leading to an expected orbital drift and crash. AST Space Mobile company stated that the rocket's second stage placed the "Bluebird 7" satellite in a lower-than-expected orbit. Despite the successful separation and activation of the satellite from the second stage, the low orbit height made it impossible for the satellite to maintain normal on-orbit operation using its own propulsion system, leading to an expected orbital drift and crash. The satellite's losses are expected to be covered by insurance. (Xinhua News Agency)
