The world's largest ship-based wind turbine assist system was launched today.
Today, the world's largest shipboard wind turbine propulsion system developed by China Shipbuilding Corporation 725 Institute will be officially released, marking a significant leap from following to leading in the field of high-end ship environmental protection equipment in our country. It is introduced that the system has a diameter of 5 meters, a height of 35 meters, and weighs 150 tons. It can efficiently capture wind energy during navigation, providing additional propulsion for ships. On average, it can save 5% to 25% of fuel consumption for large ocean-going vessels, and correspondingly reduce carbon emissions.
