China-Vietnam Joint Declaration: Mutual support for the activities of the Lancang-Mekong Tourism City Cooperation Alliance, and encourage tourists from both sides to travel to each other's countries.

The joint statement of the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on continuously deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership in the new period and promoting the construction of a higher-level, strategically significant China-Vietnam community of common destiny has been announced. Among them, it is proposed that both sides announce the launch of the "China-Vietnam Tourism Cooperation Year" for the years 2026-2027, agreeing to promote tourism cooperation as an important bridge for people-to-people exchanges and to contribute to the economic and social development of both countries. Tourism cooperation activities should be practical, effective, and sustainable. Both sides should strengthen policy coordination and communication, enhance the image of their respective national tourism brands, create conditions for promoting the healthy development of the tourism industries of both countries, jointly develop tourism routes, create tourism products, and operate the cross-border tourism cooperation zone at the Detian Waterfall in China and Vietnam. They should jointly support activities of the Lancang-Mekong Tourism City Cooperation Alliance and encourage tourists from both sides to visit each other's countries.
