Supreme Court: By 2025, national courts will resolve debts of about 40 trillion yuan through bankruptcy trials.

The Supreme People's Court held a press conference on the situation of providing judicial services for civil and commercial trials to ensure the high-quality development of the economy and society. In 2025, courts across the country accepted 36,900 bankruptcy liquidation, reorganization, and settlement cases, an 18.00% increase year on year, and concluded 31,900 cases, a 5.07% increase year on year. Through bankruptcy trials, approximately 4 trillion yuan in debt has been resolved, 1.16 trillion yuan in assets have been revitalized, and over 120,000 jobs have been maintained.
