Ministry of Commerce: Support 15 cities to carry out pilot projects for the construction of an international consumption environment.

Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on February 11 that the Ministry of Commerce will continue to optimize consumer scenes and enhance consumer experiences. It will organize more than 20 special events for the "Shopping in China" campaign and 15 "City Specials" events to create a strong consumption atmosphere. The ministry will support 15 cities in conducting pilot projects for constructing an international consumer environment, and has recently allocated the first batch of 1 billion yuan in funds with the Ministry of Finance. It will further optimize the policy for tax refunds on goods purchased by overseas travelers and expand inbound consumption.
