The first Global Innovation Financial Index released: Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen enter the top fifteen in the world, leading the way in the western region with the twin cities of Chengdu and Chongqing.
On February 4th, the China Institute of Innovation Finance, Finovature, and the Chengdu Institute of Innovative Finance jointly released the "Global Innovation Finance Index" and "Global Innovation Finance Research Report," conducting in-depth research and evaluation rankings on 54 global and 50 domestic cities that serve as both financial centers and innovation hubs. The evaluation results show that North America leads comprehensively on the global stage, with strong innovation momentum in Asia, and Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen ranking in the top fifteen globally. Among mainland Chinese cities, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou are the top five, followed closely by Chongqing, Chengdu, Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Xi'an, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Changsha, and Hefei, entering the top fifteen. These highly ranked cities are mostly established strong cities that have developed earlier due to their location advantages and policy dividends, or they are positioned at the core of emerging city clusters based on their profound economic foundation and regional synergies.
